(in-person only – Norwood Room – enter by south/ramp door)
The “Blue Christmas” service is a contemplative worship time that provides a comforting and gentle space for those who are grieving or struggling during the holiday season. It is designed to acknowledge pain, loss, estrangement and loneliness. It offers a time to find hope and healing in the midst of seasonal celebrations that may feel discordant to their experience. It includes a candle-lighting ceremony for remembrance. We invite you to this service.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT – A Child’s Christmas
Sunday, December 21, 10:30 a.m.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without the children portraying the story of Jesus’ birth with the whole cast of Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds and wisemen. We’ll have it all at the Sunday morning service with Maureen Aytenfisu and the children bringing it to life with their joy and storytelling!

Both McDougall and Garneau have roots that go back more than 100 years. As well as their active connection to the Downtown and Garneau communities, both have been at the forefront of social justice and caring for the diverse people who are part of the community.
WELCOME – WE MEAN IT!
Both communities are explicit in extending a genuine welcome to all people, and especially those who find themselves on the margins and often excluded or not recognized: those of various genders and gender identities and sexual orientations, those of minority ethnicity, colour, culture or economic status, those of varying abilities, and those who may or may not be religiously connected – those firm in their faith, or those seeking meaning and depth in life without having any particular religious alignment.
You don’t need to know when to stand or sit – it’s all good!
Whoever you are, wherever you may be in your faith journey, you are welcome!
