What is Soul OUTing???
Soul OUTing is an interfaith initiative of people in Edmonton Presbytery and is largely an Edmonton Presbytery planned ministry. The ministry serves LGBT and straight people who are interested in spiritual discussions and reflections. The services (hosted by Robertson-Wesley United Church) tend to have short readings, liturgy, some music and thought provoking discussions. In some cases, art is integrated in the responses to the discussion and the readings.
Two ministries have been formed as a result of Soul OUTing: one that serves youth and the Bible discussion group, Biblical Queeries.

Our Mission:To support our children and youth in experiencing the Spirit in their lives. To provide spiritual and emotional growth in a safe and caring environment for all ages.
About:McDougall United Church provides a safe, caring environment for children of all ages. Typically on a Sunday morning, children meet at the back of the church (left hand corner) with their leaders at 10:30 a.m. They come forward as a group at the beginning of the service with the Christ Candle and share in the first part of the service. They then go downstairs for an open session of music a theme lesson, snacks, and break up into age specific groups for crafts and other fun stuff!
About: The youth program is designed to be flexible to the needs of youth who come to church. Leaders are available to lead youth in discussions about issues we hope are relevant to their lives – helping them to face the same struggles that adults face. Seeing God in difficult times, finding ways to connect God to the decisions we make each day, seeing God’s face in all people, and looking for ways to be aware of social justice issues and discern the role we each have in addressing them.
